The Imperial B-Class Cargo Transport was once a common sight in the Imperium, acting as a large, general-puporse transport for passengers and goods throughout many sectors.  It's mixed-use design made it popular as a colonization ship, and it's versitile layout allowed for customized variants with less or more cargo pods.  The design eventually fell out of use due to it's inefficient layout for cargo, allowing only 24K of it's 50K tonnage for the purpose.  Lack of armarment and high crew requirements due to it's low tech level (9) also contributed to it's decline.  The ships are tried and true technology however and  can still be found in service in Diaspora and Solomani Rim sectors.
